ATTKTX™ has teamed up with Bob Smith Industries (bSi™) to offer affordable, American-Made Thread Lockers, Debonders, and Adhesives for the paintball community

Paintball components can be notorious for tricky disassembly due to delicate anodizing, tight spaces, and bad thread locker choices. While using heat is usually a necessary method of removing thread locker, it can be risky depending on the application and can often lead to damaged or discolored parts, if used incorrectly.

ATTKX™ was impressed with UN-CURE™'s potential to soften thread lockers, as a helpful alternative to heat to have in your toolbox, while working on delicate paintball projects.

DIRECTIONS

-Apply drops to the screw/threaded area, making sure the product has the best chance to contact the thread locker (multiple directions if possible)

-Wait times may vary from several minutes, to longer if necessary. The UN-CURE™ will eventually evaporate and will have to reapplied.

-Find the correct sized removal tool for the fastener

-Fixturing using soft jaws, to not mar parts, may be helpful in removal

-Begin to loosen the screw, slowly working it back and forth, until you reach the point of resistance, re-apply a few drops of UN-CURE™ and continue to repeat the process until the screw has been slowly removed

-In our experience UN-CURE™ works fairly quickly, but will evaporate if left for too long, causing the thread locker to re-harden, where the process will have to be restarted

-In our experience anodizing has been unaffected by UN-CURE™, however careful use is recommended and parts should be immediately cleaned with soap and water and allowed to dry after removal

-Suitable thread locker can then be used for reinstallation

DISCLAIMERS

-UN-CURE™ should be used with care around plastics as it will soften them

-RESULTS MAY VARY - We have had good results using UN-CURE™ to remove small factory gunfighter guide screws, however results may very depending on different manufacturer's thread lockers, thread tolerances, fastener size, amount of thread locker, and other variables.  If the threads are too locked and there is limited surface area for the solvent to work, the customer's use of heat may ultimately be a last resort.

-ATTKTX™ will not be held responsible for damage to components which may occur during paintball component disassembly, reassembly, or use of this product. The use of a qualified air smith or technician is always recommended.
